These pebbles are constituted by lake limestone of Touraine, dating from the end of Eocene or the beginning of Oligocene (around 35 million years). The bivalves which dug these pebbles to settle down are marine shells and lived at the time of the faluns' sea (approximately 15 million years ago), much later the disappearance of lakes.
