In 1, the half-jaw lost all its teeth of surface but, having been discovered split up, it shows as deep as 2 millimeters a tooth which would have been able to serve as tooth of replacement (photo at the top and left).
In 2 and 3, the teeth of bottom are seen from the side. Above, teeth are seen on the side of the crown. Higher, they are seen on the side of the root. Those of the summit in 2 are in the shape of canine. Both species of sea bream are easily distinguished by the difference of height and by the shape of the crown, high and round for S. cinctus, flat and round to oval for S. aurata.
The teeth of sea bream are frequent in the faluns of the "savignéen" basin but jaws are very rare, what means that this bone is less tough than teeth.
