This big herbivorous mammal has no current descendants. It had already disappeared at the time of the faluns' sea and its remains were reworked during the erosion of continental origin's sands of lower Miocene (Burdigalian stage). Teeth are striated in a characteristic way. See also an astragalus and a calcaneum.
